PSHE
Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is a vital part of our curriculum and central to our commitment to Catholic Life and Mission. Guided by our mission statement, “With Jesus, we live, love and learn,” we seek to nurture the whole child, supporting each pupil to grow spiritually, morally, socially and emotionally as a unique individual created and loved by God.
We deliver PSHE through the Life to the Full programme by Ten, which is firmly rooted in Catholic teaching. Through this programme, children develop an understanding of their God-given dignity and are supported to grow in virtue, build positive relationships and make informed, responsible choices. Pupils explore themes such as relationships, wellbeing, personal safety and life in the wider world through a faith-filled lens.
Our approach enables children to live out our mission in their daily lives: to live with confidence and responsibility, to love with compassion and respect for others, and to learn how to make wise and moral decisions. Through reflection and discussion, pupils are encouraged to develop a strong sense of self-worth and an awareness of their vocation as children of God.
In partnership with parents and carers, we aim to equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence to flourish, both now and in the future, as active members of our school, community and the wider world.
